Four wounded in shooting in York; police find car that might have been involved

Three young women and one teen suffered injuries in a shooting Monday night in York, according to police.

York City Police responded around 6:47 p.m. Monday to a shooting in the 600 block of West Market Street, a news release states. Officers did not find any victims at the scene but learned that four individuals had been taken to a local hospital in a vehicle.

Police say three 18-year-old women and one 16-year-old girl were struck by gunfire. Their injuries are not life threatening.

Detectives are investigating the shooting, the release states.

Police locate car that may have been involved in the shooting

York City Police are searching for a vehicle believed to be involved in a shooting Monday evening. It has a Pennsylvania registration MCW-0310.

Police were looking for a 2011 Hyundai Sonata that was believed to be involved in the shooting, according to the updated news release.

The car with a Pennsylvania registration MCW-0310 was found on Tuesday. It was reported stolen on June 14, police said.
