Shots fired on Route 30 damages SUV, closes road for investigation: police

Shots rang out on Route 30 in Manchester Township Monday evening, damaging a vehicle and prompting multiple calls, according to Northern York County Regional Police.

The 22-year-old driver of the damaged vehicle was not injured, a news release states.

Police believe it was a targeted attack.

A 2007 Kia SUV was traveling eastbound on Route 30 east of Breezeview Drive when someone in another vehicle, also heading in the same direction, began firing at it, the release states. The Kia crossed over into the westbound lanes and jumped a curb. It stopped in a grassy area at the entrance to Manchester Crossroads.

Police closed the eastbound lanes of Route 30 for about an hour while officers collected evidence, the release states.

Police do not have a description of the other vehicle involved.
