Parents jailed after child makes 911 call

CORBIN, Ky. (WYMT) - Two parents are in jail after their child reportedly called the police, thinking the mother was dead.

On June 28, police say the girl called, saying that she could not wake her mother up. When police arrived at the home, the girl and her mother Danielle Asher, came to the door. The father, Robert Herren was found later.

Police found another child when the home was searched.

Corbin Police say they had a search warrant for the home.

Herren and Asher were taken into the Whitley County Detention Center. Their charges include criminal abuse, endangering the well fare of a minor, and drug possession.

Both children were taken to a different place to live at this time, according to police.
