One person dead after crash in Elliott County

ELLIOTT COUNTY, Ky. (WYMT) - A Carter County woman died on Tuesday following a crash along KY-504.
According to troopers with Kentucky State Police, investigators determined Heather McClurg, 36, of Olive Hill, was heading west in a Chevy Tahoe when she lost control of it.
Troopers with Kentucky State Police said that after McClurg struck an embankment, the vehicle partially overturned on its side.
Elliott County Coroner Mark Lewis pronounced McClurg dead at the scene.
Officials with the Elliott County Coroner’s Office as well as members of Elliott County Fire and Rescue aided Kentucky State Police.
