BELL COUNTY, Ky. (WYMT) - (Update): The Golden Alert in Middlesboro is canceled. Deputies say David Niece was found safe thanks to multiple tips.

Deputies with the Knox County Sheriff’s Department have issued a Golden Alert for a man who was reportedly last seen on June 18.

David Niece, 53, of Middlesboro, is known to be on foot around the Middlesboro Mall and Walmart areas, according to police.

Police said it is not known what Niece was wearing at the time he was last seen.

Niece is described as 5′9″ and weighing about 138 lbs.

He has balding with gray hair on the side of his head and has a gray/white mustache with a beard.

Police said he has been diagnosed with a medical condition requiring a guardian.
