KSP: Three people arrested after drugs discovered in vehicle

PRESTONSBURG, Ky. (WYMT) - Three people are facing drug charges after police discovered illegal drugs during a traffic stop.

Officials said the incident happened on June 20, when Kentucky State Police Post 9′s Criminal Interdiction Unit tried to conduct a traffic stop in Prestonsburg.

After the vehicle took off, troopers reported they were able to find it at a home in Pike County.

Approximately one kilogram of suspected methamphetamine was seized. Troopers also found 1.8 ounces of suspected fentanyl and money.

Ahmad Moore, 25, of Ohio, was charged with fleeing or evading police in the first-degree, first-degree wanton endangerment, possession of marijuana, trafficking in a controlled substance - first offense (methamphetamine), trafficking in a controlled substance (fentanyl), tampering with physical evidence and other traffic-related violations.

Dean Blair, 23, of Georgia, was charged with fleeing or evading police in the first degree, possession of marijuana, resisting arrest, trafficking in a controlled substance - first offense (methamphetamine), trafficking in a controlled substance (fentanyl) and tampering with physical evidence.

Nevah Twitty, 20, was charged with fleeing or evading police in the first degree, possession of marijuana, resisting arrest, trafficking in a controlled substance - first offense (methamphetamine), trafficking in a controlled substance (fentanyl) and tampering with physical evidence.

Moore, Blair and Twitty were taken to the Pike County Detention Center.
