KSP investigating pair of deadly Pike Co. crashes

PIKE CO., Ky. (WYMT) - Troopers with Kentucky State Police are looking into two deadly crashes that happened earlier this week.

Troopers received a call about the first one, which involved three vehicles, at 7:14 a.m. on Wednesday.

The crash happened on Ferrells Creek Road in the Belcher community.

Jeremy Gunter was driving a 2002 Ford F-150 when he crossed the center line and hit Donald Thacker, who was behind the wheel of a 2007 Ford 500.

The vehicle Gunter was driving then hit a 2021 Toyota RAV4, which was being driven by Ella Taylor.

Taylor was pronounced dead at the scene by officials with the Pike County Coroner’s Office.

Gunter and Thacker were taken to a nearby hospital for medical treatment.

Troopers were informed of the second crash at approximately 9:50 p.m. on Wednesday.

The two-vehicle crash happened on U.S. 460 in the Millard community.

Through an investigation, troopers discovered that Clinton Justice was driving a 2013 Ford Edge when his vehicle struck Eric Justice.

Eric Justice was riding a bicycle.

Clinton Justice left the scene but was found and arrested a short time later.

Eric Justice was pronounced dead by officials with the Pike County Coroner’s Office.

Clinton Justice was charged with leaving the scene of an accident, operating a motor vehicle under the influence, and vehicular homicide when under the influence.

Clinton Justice was taken to the Pike County Detention Center.
