LONDON, Ky. (WYMT) - One Southern Kentucky firefighter is reportedly coming home after he was re-admitted to a hospital.

On Thursday, London Mayor Randall Weddle provided an update on Brandon Buckner on social media.

In the post, Weddle said Buckner will be coming home, and doctors in Lexington are confident the issues he went through were “due to the fall itself and his body’s way of responding to the injury.”

On Tuesday, Brandon Buckner was sent home but began to experience pain again.

As a result, doctors in London believed Buckner needed urgent treatment and sent him to the University of Kentucky Hospital.

Buckner’s family said he suffered seven broken ribs, a lacerated liver and his lungs collapsed from the fall.
