LEXINGTON, Ky. (WYMT) - Paducah Tilghman (Paducah, KY) player Martels Carter committed to Kentucky this past Saturday, May 25.
Carter is the No. 1-ranked prospect in the state of Kentucky.
Carter helped the Blue Tornado’s to an undefeated regular season. The team made a nice run in the 4A state playoffs, falling in the semifinals to Covington Catholic.
The 6-foot-1, 185-pound safety chose Kentucky over a host of schools including Auburn, Colorado, and Louisville.
Carter is the sixth commitment for Kentucky’s 2025 class.
