Julia Morris

Sports Anchor

Julia Morris joined WYFF News 4 as the weekend sports anchor in January 2018. She came to WYFF 4 from WBTW in Myrtle Beach where she was the weekend sports anchor and says she is thrilled to be in the Upstate.

Julia is originally from Brooklyn, New York. She played basketball, softball and soccer in high school. As a senior, she was the captain of her basketball team that won a city championship and was also named to the PSAL All-Brooklyn team.

Julia graduated from Boston College in 2012 with a bachelor’s degree in Communications. After graduating, she returned home to New York City and worked as a production assistant at CBS’s Studio 43 during the filming of the NFL Today Show and College Football Today. After spending two years at CBS, she moved to Syracuse to attend the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications, where she graduated with her master’s degree in Broadcast and Digital Journalism with a sports communication emphasis.

Julia loves spending time outdoors and surfing in her free time. She is enjoying exploring all that the Upstate has to offer and is always looking for the best place to get a slice of pizza.
