Parella Lewis

Weather Anchor

Parella Lewis joined WYFF News 4 in September 2019 and can be seen every morning Monday through Friday starting at 4:30am.

She came to Greenville from Seattle, Washington where she spent twelve years doing the weather and working on a regional crime show. While there, she learned all about microclimates and how mountains, oceans, and the lowlands interact to change the forecast just a few miles from each other!

Before that, Parella spent time at the NBC affiliate in Indianapolis, Indiana where she was on the air during the infamous “Race Day” tornado outbreak that interrupted the 88th running of the Indy 500. Fifteen tornadoes touched down as she provided wall to wall coverage during that historic event.

Parella has always enjoyed being active in her community. She served on the advisory board for King County Search and Rescue while in Seattle, was co-chair of Teen Choice, an organization designed to give kids in trouble a second chance while in Louisiana and was given the coveted Blue Knight Award by Mothers Against Drunk Driving during her time in Little Rock.

When not at work, Parella enjoys all things outdoors: hiking, running, skiing, kayaking, even emptying the trash if it gets her outside!   She also enjoys writing and recording music and working on voice-overs.
