Walmart is holding ‘largest savings event ever’ a week before Prime Day
Prime Day is known to be Amazon’s biggest deals event of the year, but a week before Amazon’s exclusive sales event, another major retailer will be holding what it's calling “its largest savings event ever.”
Walmart announced it will be having “Walmart Deals” the week before Prime members can participate in Amazon’s two-day sales extravaganza. Starting Monday, July 8 at 5 p.m. ET, shoppers can take advantage of thousands of deals on popular items from electronics, home, toys, travel and more, including must-haves for heading back to school.

Walmart Deals is open to everybody, so you don’t need a Walmart+ subscription to participate like you need a Prime membership to participate in Prime Day. However, Walmart+ members will have early access to these deals.
Walmart officials say that Walmart+ members can start shopping five hours before anyone else at 12 p.m. ET on July 8.

Walmart Deals will end on Thursday, July 11 at 11:59 p.m. ET. This means that Walmart’s summer shopping sales event will also last longer than Amazon’s Prime Day.
