THAT’S COMING UP. JUST A FEW MINUTES. ALL RIGHT, MIKE, THANK YOU SO MUCH. LET’S GET BACK TO THE BIG STORM CLEANUP RIGHT NOW. PARTS OF BEAVER COUNTY. YOU CAN SEE HIT HARD YESTERDAY, KNOCKING DOWN TREES AND POWER LINES. THOUSANDS REMAIN WITHOUT POWER. PITTSBURGH’S ACTION NEWS FOUR REPORTER TOM GARRIS IS GETTING A CLOSER LOOK AT THAT DAMAGE. HE’S LIVE NOW WITH OUR STORY. AND TOM, AS WE’VE BEEN TALKING ABOUT, SO MANY COMMUNITIES ARE DEALING WITH THIS TODAY. YEAH. AND MIKE, WE’RE SPECIFICALLY FOCUSING ON NEW BRIGHTON, WHICH WAS HIT PRETTY HARD BY THOSE STORMS LAST NIGHT. THERE IS SOME PROGRESS THERE, THOUGH, AS OFFICIALS SAY, SOME ROADS THAT WERE CLOSED BECAUSE OF DOWNED TREES AND WIRES HAVE REOPENED. MORE ON THAT IN A MOMENT. BUT WE’RE ALSO HEARING FROM A WOMAN WHO WATCHED THOSE STORMS ROLL IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD WAS QUIET THIS MORNING AS DRIVERS AND PEDESTRIANS NAVIGATED AROUND DOWNED TREES AND OTHER DEBRIS COVERING PARTS OF NEW BRIGHTON LAST NIGHT’S STORM CAME QUICKLY AND POWERFULLY. WE JUST HEARD BOOM, BOOM, BOOM AND TREES JUST STARTED EXPLODING EVERYWHERE AND EVERYTHING WAS SPINNING OUTSIDE. JESSICA HIPPLE SAYS HER HOUSE IS A FORTRESS. IT DID NOT TAKE MUCH DAMAGE, BUT SHE COULDN’T BELIEVE THE STATE OF HER NEIGHBORHOOD. A LARGE BRANCH STILL RESTING ON THIS VAN ON 15TH STREET. THIS TRUCK’S ROOF SMASHED IN LIKE SHE’S STILL COVERING IT FEELS LIKE DAY AFTER TOMORROW, TO BE HONEST WITH YOU. IT WAS THE STRANGEST THING I’VE EVER ENCOUNTERED. BUT IT’S. IT’S GOING TO TAKE A WHILE TO CLEAN IT UP. I. AND SO THE LATEST UPDATE FROM OFFICIALS THERE IN NEW BRIGHTON IS THAT THIRD AVENUE REALLY A MAIN STRETCH THROUGH THAT AREA HAS REOPENED, OPENED 15TH AND A STRETCH OF PENN AVENUE SHOULD BE OPENED BY THE END OF THE BUSINESS DAY TODAY. BUT THERE ARE STILL SEVERAL THAT ARE GOING TO BE CLOSED OVERNIGHT AS THEY’RE STILL DEALING WITH THAT CLEANUP THERE.
