2-year-old dies after being pulled from lazy river during family vacation

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WMBF/Gray News) – A toddler on vacation with her family died after being pulled from a lazy river in South Carolina over the weekend.

The Horry County Coroner’s office confirmed 2-year-old Lylah Dillon, of West Virginia, was found in the water on Wild Iris Drive on Sunday.

She was taken to a hospital in the area where she was pronounced dead.

Chief Deputy Coroner Tamara Willard said an autopsy will be performed later this week to determine Lylah’s cause of death.

No other details about the little girl’s death were released.
