NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - A Memphis man was shot and killed in an Antioch strip mall parking lot on Sunday night.

Surveillance video one of the store owners shared with WSMV4 shows a man take off running through the parking lot at the same time workers and neighbors across the street said at least seven shots were fired.

“We were just in the car coming home and not knowing what happened,” Jessica Brownlow said.

Brownlow said she arrived home to multiple police cars, a shot up Mercedes and the road in front of her home blocked off.

“I didn’t see anything or hear anything, so it was just the aftermath of it,” Brownlow said.

Beyonce Robinson, Brownlow’s next-door neighbor, said she saw it all.

“Me and my boyfriend were literally just getting some air on the patio as normal. We heard about seven or eight gun shots,” Robinson said. “We ran inside, came back out, and saw the car scurry off.”

Police said London Montgomery, 23, was driving a Mercedes SUV and was involved in a drug-related meeting was shot at by someone driving a Jeep Grand Cherokee.

Surveillance video shows the Mercedes speed off after police said the driver was shot in the chest, hip and leg before crashing into a wall.

“They ended up right here, so we just kind of kept peeking just to kind of see why they were sitting there,” Robinson said. “We didn’t realize that he actually got shot.”

Officers rushed to the Hamilton Crossings area after the shooting.

“When the police got here, we saw them take him out and we saw the blood all over,” Robinson said. “It was just sad because I have a daughter, and we were just sitting outside, so it could have been anybody in this area.”

Police said Montgomery died after being transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center.

“It was definitely traumatizing, to say the least,” Robinson said.

While neighbors said they’re praying for Montgomery’s family, they also want answers.

“I just want to know who did it so that we can know that we’re safe here,” Brownlow said.

Metro Nashville Police are still looking for the possible shooters.
