THROUGH MORNING:

Rain moves out overnight. Temperatures will drop into the low 70s by morning.

TOMORROW:

A brief cool-down is expected on Wednesday.

Drier and slightly cooler weather will build into the area Wednesday. High temperatures will be in the 80s. Humidity will drop slightly as well. Nashville’s early morning rain chance will be just 20%, so most areas will have a dry Wednesday.

THURSDAY & FRIDAY:

Another heat wave will begin to develop starting on Thursday. The sky will be partly cloudy with the morning lows in the mid 70s and highs in the mid 90s.

FIRST ALERT WEATHER DAYS THE WEEKEND INTO NEXT WEEK:

The heat will build further through the weekend with moderate to high humidity. The highs will be in the upper 90s to near 100. It will fill more like 100 plus.

There’s a realistic chance Monday will end up being the hottest day of the year so far, with triple digit temperatures expected in Nashville.

Tuesday will still be hot with a possible isolated thunderstorm.
