NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - Nashville Soccer Club defender Walker Zimmerman is trading in his gold and blue kit to show off in a red, white and blue kit after being selected to the United States Men’s Olympic soccer team.

Zimmerman will head to Paris for the 2024 Olympics to represent the U.S. The first Group Stage match is set against France on Wednesday, July 24 at 2 p.m.

Next, the U.S. Men’s team will face New Zealand (July 27) and Guinea (July 30).

“The Lawrenceville, Ga. native has appeared 42 times for the United States on the international stage, scoring three goals and recording two assists,” Nashville SC touted. “In 2022, Zimmerman was a key piece of the United States Men’s National Team’s (USMNT) 2022 FIFA World Cup™ squad, helping lead his nation to the Round of 16 with four appearances and three starts.”
