NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - Tuesday is a First Alert Weather Day due to the risk of a couple of strong storms from the remnants of Hurricane Beryl.

We’re starting off the week hot and humid with temperatures in the lower to mid 90s this afternoon. With the humidity factored in, we can expect it to feel like we’re near if not into the triple digits this afternoon.

Clouds will mix with sunshine throughout the day with a passing shower I can’t totally ruled out, but most of us should stay dry.

A quick shower also cannot be ruled out tonight with lows in the mid 70s.

FIRST ALERT WEATHER DAY

The remnants from what is now Hurricane Beryl will impact the Mid State on Tuesday. The worst of the rainfall will stay off to our west, but we will see a few showers and thunderstorms thrown in our direction throughout the day. There is the risk of a couple of strong thunderstorms that could provide heavy rainfall and gusty winds, especially in west Middle Tennessee.

This will not be a major impact by any means, but make sure you’re ready for quickly changing weather conditions in the afternoon.

MID-WEEK

A couple of showers and a thunderstorm or two will hang around into our Wednesday, but nothing overly widespread is expected. Wednesday will be the coolest day of the week with temperatures in the mid to maybe the upper 80s in the afternoon.

Some heat will build back in on Thursday with highs in the low 90s and a slight uptick in the humidity as well.

LATE WEEK & WEEKEND

Heat and humidity will take center stage in our forecast once again as we head into the upcoming weekend!

Highs on Friday will climb into the mid 90s with an increase in the humidity. There will be plenty of sunshine to go around Friday afternoon.

Saturday and Sunday will both be mostly sunny, hot and humid with temperatures in the mid to upper 90s.
