Woman shot while walking in East Nashville

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - A woman was hit by a bullet while walking in East Nashville sometime during or after Fourth of July celebrations, according to Metro Nashville police.
Police said officers responded to the intersection of Ramsey Street and Neill Avenue to reports of a gunshot victim.
The woman told officers she was walking down Neill Avenue when she felt something impact her chest and was unsure what hit her. Police said the victim told officers other than the people she was with, no one was around when she was shot.
“No suspect information is known at this time. Her minor injury was treated at Vandy,” police said.
