Info needed after man found shot dead in crashed car in Cookeville

COOKEVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - Police are continuing their investigation into the homicide of a 55-year-old man who was found dead inside of a crashed car in Cookeville in October 2023.
Police said on Oct. 9 officers responded to Skyline Drive to find Rodney Morgan in the car with a gunshot wound. They’re asking the public for information in this case.

“This is an ongoing investigation, and we are asking for the public’s assistance for any information regarding the circumstances surrounding Morgan’s death. Before his death, Morgan was known to frequent Scooter’s Biker Bar, The 19th Hole, Bar on the Green, and Misty’s Suds and Bud,” police said.
