NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – Four people were hurt by celebratory gunfire in the Downtown Nashville area on the Fourth of July, according to the Metro Nashville Police Department.

Two people took themselves to the hospital and two others did not after they were grazed by bullets, according to police.

They were shot in the area of First and Second Avenue South.

The gunfire rang out as 350,000 people gathered downtown for the Let Freedom Sing celebration.
