Teen charged after attempted armed robbery outside Goodlettsville business

The suspect ran away after the victim told him he didn’t have any money, police said.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – An arrest has been made after an armed robbery attempt in April, according to the Metro Nashville Police Department.

Kylan Haynes, 18, is charged with attempted aggravated robbery.

On April 27, officers responded to a business located at 1301 Dickerson Pike South in Goodlettsville. The victim reported an unknown suspect pressed what was believed to be a gun against his back and demanded money. The suspect ran away after the victim told him he didn’t have any money, police said.

Surveillance video was used to identify the suspect as Haynes. He was arrested late Wednesday night and remains jailed on a $40,000 bond.
