MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WSMV) – Murfreesboro police want to speak with a man accused of taking photos of a female changing in the dressing room of a clothing store.

Police said the incident happened at Plato’s Closet on North Thompson Lane on June 24.

Photos show the man inside the nearby Petland store the same day, and an employee there told WSMV4 he was taking photos of young girls inside Plato’s Closet.

“It was honestly really startling,” Colene Belmont said.

Belmont said Plato’s Closet employees came in asking for help, so they called police.

“I think I recognized that I had seen him,” Belmont said. “We have never really had anything like this happen in this area specifically, and I think it just really drove home how scary that is especially because we are a group of young women.”

Belmont said she hopes the young victim gets justice.

“Those pictures of her changing – that’s something she was obviously not intending for anyone to ever see,” she said.

If you know the man in the surveillance image, you’re urged to contact detectives at 629-201-5568.
