1 seriously injured after fight leads to gunfire in Nashville

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – A man was seriously injured early Thursday morning after a fight led to gunfire in Nashville, according to the Metro Nashville Police Department.

The shooting happened at about 1:30 a.m. in a parking lot at Covenant Crossing apartments off Thompson Lane.

The man was shot in the head and transported to a local hospital with serious injuries, police said, but he’s expected to survive.

The victim’s vehicle had bullet holes through its windshield.

The suspect, who remains on the run, was driving an older model, Silver Infiniti with white duct tape on the back rear windshield, police said.
