NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - Work is coming along on the future Nissan Stadium.

Crews are now 50% done with excavation where the new stadium will sit next to the current stadium.

Titans official, Adolpho Birch, provided an update to the Metro Sports Authority during Thursday’s meeting. He said the piers that will hold up the foundation are also 30% done.

Birch said construction is on pace to be ahead of schedule with that phase.

“I will state for the record the project to date through at least May of this year has spent $152,520,124,” Birch told the board. “Importantly, everything remains on track for the Q1-2027 projected opening.”

Birch said crews are expected to complete the excavation phase and start pouring concrete later this year.
