NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - One of the oldest golf courses in Nashville will reopen next weekend after a nearly two-year renovation.

Golfers are invited to tee it up again at Percy Warner Golf Course when it reopens on Saturday, June 29.

The golf course closed in November 2022 for its first-ever major renovation.

There is a new practice area with putting greens, a short game training area, and practice bunkers. Improvements also include expanded tee boxes, bunkers, and a completely revamped irrigation system.

Percy Warner opened in 1937 and is the second oldest golf course in the metropolitan Nashville area, behind Shelby Golf Course, which opened in 1924. The renovation project was a joint partnership between Metro Parks Nashville, Friends of Warner Parks, and the Tennessee Golf Foundation.

The course is located at 1221 Forrest Park Drive.

Course management is expecting a full day of golfers so tee time reservations are required for the reopening on June 29. To book a time, call (615) 352-9958.

Food trucks will be on-site from 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. For more information on the renovation and green fees, visit Percy Warner’s website here.
