A Raleigh wrestling coach charged with indecent liberties in December was arrested again for child sex acts with a 13-year-old.

Jared Lewis, 52, of Clayton, was charged Friday with first-degree sexual assault of a child under the age of 13, according to a warrant listing the charges out of Dane, Wisconsin.

Lewis was previously charged in December with indecent liberties with a minor after he was accused of inappropriate activity with youth he advised and traveled with out of the country.

Lewis runs World Wrestling Tours, which promotes youth wrestling and provides training and coaching for young wrestlers around the country.

A joint investigation between the Raleigh Police Department and Federal Bureau of Investigation led to his arrest.

A search warrant in that case indicates, as part of Lewis' job, he would take multiple juveniles to wrestling tournaments and training overseas in Sweden or India.

In early 2023, on one overseas trip, Lewis was accused of inappropriate conduct with wrestlers after parents started filing reports with local agencies concerning allegations that were similar.

According to the arrest warrant, Lewis would Facebook Live the wrestlers on trips, and he was observed by one of them with a cell phone in his hand while multiple wrestlers took a shower.

Lewis was being held in the Wake County jail without bond.
