I’ve always loved peanut butter. Living in the States during my early 20s only intensified this love affair – with my swim training sessions regularly ending with a trip to Einstein Bros Bagels, in the student union, to order a cinnamon raisin bagel slathered in silky, smooth peanut butter.

At some point in my late 20s, I briefly tried to switch out peanut butter for almond butter, in an attempt to scratch my sweet tooth itch in a ‘healthier’ way. But I very quickly realised that substitutes never satisfy you in quite the same way, and you end up eating the version you really want, anyway.

One of my favourite peanut butter brands is Pip & Nut – a certified B Corporation, and the UK’s fastest-growing nut butter brand. Chances are, if you like peanut butter as much as me, you’re already a fan.

Known for their nut butters’ and nut butter cups (think: a healthier take on the classic Reese’s peanut cup – delicious, BTW), Pip & Nut has now announced its latest innovation: a new range of peanut butter-stuffed oat bars.

Available in three enticing flavours: Original, Chocolate, and Apple & Cinnamon. Each bar is crafted from wholegrain British oats and Pip & Nut’s award-winning peanut butter, which is made from specially selected, single-origin Argentinian peanuts known for their natural sweetness.

With 6 grams of plant-based protein and a high fibre content, these bars are ideal for that mid-morning pick-me-up, or an afternoon snack. Importantly, they are made entirely from plant-based ingredients and contain no palm oil.

Speaking on the new launch, Pip & Nut Founder Pippa Murray said: ‘I’m delighted to be extending Pip & Nut’s product offering with these new peanut butter stuffed oat bars. This range was inspired by our community of fans and their love of peanut butter on oats for breakfast. It’s such a popular combination for a reason – it tastes great and is really satisfying – however, we didn’t feel like there was an on-the-go option on the market that matched up when it came to flavour or nutritional credentials.

‘Over the years we have perfected our peanut butter and these new bars are literally stuffed with it. They’re really delicious and packed with natural nuttiness; I can’t wait for consumers to try them.’

Well, Pippa, we can’t wait to get our hands on some.
