Rebel Wilson deemed 2020 her ‘Year of Health’, but in a candid Instagram post shared this month, the star says she has ‘regained’ some of the weight she has lost, admitting that it ‘makes me feel bad about myself’.

She wrote: ‘Working really hard has meant that, coz of all the stress, I’ve gained 14kg’s (30 pounds)! It makes me feel bad about myself…it shouldn’t…but it does.

‘I’m really proud of the work I’ve been doing on new movies and my memoir, it’s just been a LOT and I’ve lost focus on my healthy lifestyle. Anyone else going through the same thing? (Update: I woke up this morning and read all your comments - they bring a tear to my eye. Thanks everyone! 🩷)’

Fans were quick to reassure her, with one writing, ‘You are great and you look even better. Don’t let the doubt in,’ while another said, ‘You ain’t alone sis!’

Previously, Rebel shared that she had lost almost 80 pounds (36kg, or 5.5 stone), and she became fitter than ever.

In the season three premiere of Apple Fitness+'s Time to Walk series, Rebel explains that walking played a huge part in her health overhaul: 'An Austrian doctor said, "Rebel, the best way for you to lose unwanted body fat is by just simply walking, it doesn’t have to be high intensity or uphill…just simply walk an hour a day."

'It just made me think: OK I should take it a bit easier on myself, and just do it gently and do it lightly. So in 2020 I lost weight but very, very gradually. Sometimes I kicked up things a notch with some workouts and went hard. But, the majority of the work for the year was just doing things like walking for an hour.

'Sometimes the simplest thing like getting out and walking for an hour a day is the kindest thing to your body, and your body will respond to that.'

Besides that, Rebel also worked out with trainer Jono Castano seven days a week, looking strong and glowy as she gets her fitness in. In fact, one of her 'grams insisted she's called 'Fit Amy'. Yes, ma'am.

Her fitness might not be on form right now, but peaks and troughs are all part of the journey, and in Rebel’s own words, ‘Know you are more than just your weight, your weight doesn’t define you, just try your best to be healthy and don’t be so hard on yourself.’
