As a beauty writer, I’m lucky enough to have access to a range of luxury names, but I’ll forever believe that there are some brilliant budget buys that rival expensive players. Garnier, as a brand, is a great example.
Already its high-street price point is friendly on the bank balance, but as the keen bargain hunter that I am, I always use the Amazon Prime Day sale to stock up on the best Garnier skincare and hair care products at an even smaller price.

It truly is a brand that you can’t go wrong with. With a heritage of over 100 years, Garnier prides itself on its commitment to vegan and nature-based formulas, its Cruelty-Free International status and its dedication to sustainably sourcing ingredients and materials.
As well as this, it produces genuinely great products that won’t dwindle your bank balance. The micellar water has remained a constant in my skincare routine for years (in fact, it recently celebrated its 10th anniversary), while the Ultimate Blends hair range is undoubtedly one of the most popular franchises on high-street shelves.

As the fake tan obsessive that I am, I’m always stocked with Garnier’s gradual tan moisturiser and, luckily for us all, it’s almost always in the Amazon Prime Day event.
It has forever been an essential in my summer body care kit and, because it’s a lotion, it makes maintaining a golden glow far easier. The blend of hydrating ingredients, including glycerin, apricot kernel oil and soybean oil, softens dry zones and leaves a hydrated finish. Plus, it’s less likely to streak or turn patchy.
Garnier, Vitamin C Daily UV Brightening Fluid
This is one of the best sunscreens I’ve used, and it’s only £13. Teaching us a lesson that wearing SPF every day can be enjoyable, Garnier’s Daily UV Brightening Fluid is as easy to apply as a moisturiser, plus it comes with all the benefits of factor 50 protection and brightening vitamin C. It gives me that ‘lit-from-within' glow, without any greasiness, softly evens out my complexion and keeps my skin feeling hydrated.
Garnier, Micellar Cleansing Water
I’m sure this will be the case for many, but Garnier’s Micellar Water would be my desert island pick. Able to remove makeup and cleanse in one refreshing step, it’s the perfect product to have in your routine if you’re a skincare minimalist with little time to spare.
Garnier offers a few iterations of micellar water – including vitamin C and hyaluronic acid infused formulas – but I always go back to the original formula. Simply pour the fluid onto a cotton round and softly sweep it over your face to lift off makeup and dirt.

This no-frills formula is a brilliant option for anyone with dry and sensitive skin. I’ve been using it for the past few weeks, and I can confidently say it’s one of the hardest-working members in my routine.

Oily, acne-prone skin? This jet-black fluid is formulated with all the right ingredients to reduce the appearance of pores, soak up excess oil and brighten a dull complexion. AHAs, BHAs and niacinamide work to slough away dead skin cells and improve uneven texture, while activated charcoal slows down oil production, making it an ideal formula if you regularly battle breakouts.

If you’re new to the world of vitamin C, I’d highly suggest starting with this kind yet effective formula. It carries a small 3.5% dose of vitamin C, which is certainly a petite number compared to other formulas on the market, but it also contains niacinamide and salicylic acid to brighten and smooth skin texture. Plus, the milky and hydrating formula slips over the skin and delivers a cooling sensation, which is especially welcome on groggy mornings.

If you’re after tanning drops that look completely natural, look to Garnier’s Solaire self-tan drops. I also appreciate that the formula includes hyaluronic acid, vitamin E and ceramides to support the skin barrier.

Garnier Ultimate Blends Hair Food Banana 3-In-1 Dry Hair Mask Treatment
There’s so much to love about this budget buy. Firstly, if you love sweet scents, I’m utterly addicted to the playful banana aroma of the cream. But the real draw is how nourishing the formula is. The blend of shea butter and vitamins C, E and F load brittle strands with hydration to soften, boost shine and minimize breakage, all without weighing them down. You can’t beat the affordable price tag, too.

This lamellar treatment is my latest shower cubby essential, so I’m thrilled to see that it’s already reduced by 50%. If you’re unfamiliar with lamellar technology, it’s a water-weight fluid that penetrates your strands with a concentrated dose of amino acids and proteins to heal brittle ends and deliver major levels of shine. Unlike masks, a lamellar treatment is drizzled over your hair in the shower, left for ten seconds and then rinsed out.
