Alisha McDevitt

Alisha McDevitt has a more than 25-year career in journalism. Alisha has been a newspaper reporter and a television producer, executive producer, assistant news director and is currently the News Director at WMUR-TV.

Alisha was named political producer at WMUR in 1998 and has co-produced dozens of political specials and debates for WMUR and our Hearst Television and network partners. She has been nominated for several New England Emmy awards, winning one for coverage of the NH Primary in 2008. She has also won several Edward R. Murrow Awards, including a team award for Overall Excellence in the 2020 Edward R. Murrow Regional Awards.

McDevitt was named Assistant News Director of WMUR in 2003 and News Director in 2009. She believes in the importance of local journalism and the help broadcasters can bring the community.

Alisha serves on the board of the national Radio Television Digital News Association (RTDNA). She was named the New Hampshire Association of Broadcasters “Broadcaster of the Year” in 2019. Alisha is a graduate of the University of New Hampshire. She enjoys living in New Hampshire with her husband and son and enjoys all the Granite State has to offer.
