THE ONLY KOSHER CAFE IN THE GRANITE STATE OPENED ITS DOORS OVER THE WEEKEND, BUT BROOKLYN CAFE IS LOCATED ON WOODBURY AVE IN NEWINGTON, AND IT SPECIALIZES IN FALAFEL AND GENUINE NEW YORK BAGELS. THE CAFE IS KOSHER CERTIFIED BY A RABBI FROM THE SEACOAST CHABAD JEWISH CENTER. IT IS A NONPROFIT, SO ALL PROCEEDS GO TOWARD HELPING THE COMMUNITY. On Sunday, July 7, New Hampshire welcomed its first and only kosher cafe. The Brooklyn Cafe, located on Woodbury Avenue in Newington, specializes in falafel and genuine New York bagels, bringing the taste of Brooklyn to the Granite State. The cafe was kosher-certified by a rabbi from the Seacoast Chabad Jewish Center. "I want to thank everyone who helped us make this dream a reality. This is a community effort, this is a dream, and with amazing people and volunteers, we were able to put this together," Rabbi Berel Slavaticki said.
