A STAR ATHLETE IN HER YOUTH. KAEL WAS BORN IN CLAREMONT, COMPETING AS A SWIMMER ACROSS THE COUNTRY AND REPRESENTING HER HOME STATE WITH PRIDE. SHE’S JUST A REALLY KIND SOUL. BUT TUESDAY, HER LIFE WAS TRAGICALLY CUT SHORT WHEN POLICE SAY SHE WAS FOUND UNRESPONSIVE. NATIVE IN HER HOME IN SAINT JOHN. ACCORDING TO INVESTIGATORS, KAEL’S BOYFRIEND CAME HOME TO CHECK ON HER SHORTLY AFTER MIDNIGHT AND FOUND HER LYING ON THE FLOOR. HE BROUGHT HER INTO A NEARBY HEALTH CLINIC, BUT SHE DIED FROM WHAT POLICE CALLED HER, QUOTE, AILMENT. FRIENDS SAID SHE WORKED AT ONE OF THE LOCAL COFFEE SHOPS AND WAS WELL KNOWN FOR HER WARM NATURE. SHE HAD A HUGE HEART. SHE WAS REALLY LOVING AND KIND AND WELL LOVED AND, YOU KNOW, POPULAR IN IRELAND. AND EVERYBODY KNOWS HER. Police in the U.S. Virgin Islands are investigating the death of a 42-year-old New Hampshire native, investigators have confirmed. Jamie Cail, of New Hampshire, died earlier this week after she was found unresponsive in her home.The Virgin Islands Police Department said a clinic in St. John notified of the death, shortly after 2:30 a.m. on Tuesday.Around 12 a.m., Cail's boyfriend left a local bar to check on her at their home. When he arrived at home, he saw her on the floor, according to police.With the help from a friend, the man was able to get Cail into a vehicle and take her to the Myrah Keating-Smith Clinic, police said.At the clinic, CPR was rendered and 911 was called, but police reported Cail succumbed to her "ailment."According to Cail's family, the 42-year-old was born in Claremont, New Hampshire. She was a star swimmer and spent much of her youth competing across the country. "She was just she was she was a very beautiful person," one friend told News 9. "She had a huge heart. She was really loving and kind and well-loved and popular on the island and everybody knows her."Cail had worked at a local coffee shop, where she interacted with many people across the community, her friends said."Everyone from the you know, older generational, local families to the younger people, everybody loved her," her friend said.The case is under investigation by the Criminal Investigation Bureau. Anyone with information is asked to contact the police. News 9 has reached out to Virgin Island police for more information about this death, but has yet to hear back.
