Hello, and welcome to another edition of WMUR’s Adopt This Pet!Meet Buddy, a one and a half-year-old mixed breed, weighing 95 pounds. This goofy pup is described as affectionate and lovable snuggle bug. Buddy is also a cross between a high-energy dog and a couch potato. If you are looking for an awesome companion dog, Buddy is your guy. He knows commands like sit, come, stay, look at that, and is working on crawl and roll over. He is trained to walk on a loose leash and checks in with his people. In fact, he is very attentive to his human friends.Buddy gives the best kisses and it is so fun to play with him. He loves tossing his toys around and catching them. He is very gentle when playing tug. Some of the things that Buddy likes are hiking, playing fetch, nice back scratches, car rides and playing in the snow. Buddy really enjoys interactive enrichment activities and “busy boxes."Buddy needs to be the only dog in a home. He has the potential to live with dog-savvy cats, but his family should have some experience with doing slow introductions with dogs and cats. Buddy's ideal adopters are active homebodies that love to be outdoors (no entertainers, workaholics, or world travelers, please). They should be patient, have experience with big dogs, love to snuggle, and live in a quiet setting with a yard. Buddy's family members should be adults or teenagers. He needs a firm but gentle family who is consistent with training. Buddy will be a great friend to the right owner.
