Leslie is waiting for you at the Animal Rescue League of NH in Bedford

Hello, and welcome to another edition of WMUR’s Adopt This Pet! The Animal Rescue League of New Hampshire in Bedford has many cats, dogs, and rabbits looking for their forever home. After over 550 days at NH Animal Rescue League, Leslie is looking for her forever home. Leslie is a 2-year-old mixed-breed girly who needs a home filled with love, patience, and a fenced-in yard. Leslie’s biggest fear is cars. She does not like getting into a car or being near them in general; this makes taking long walks hard for her. Though, she can walk on a leash her fear of cars as they drive past has led to her to hiding behind bushes to get away from them. Which is why Leslie is hoping for a home with a fenced-in yard. She wants to run around and play in the yard as well as chase off any squirrel or cat that enters it. Leslie loves playing one-on-one with other dogs, so a home with another playful dog would help her adjust to her new home and family. Though she likes other dogs, Leslie like most dogs does not get along with cats. Leslie is fine with older kids who understand that Leslie is a special girl, and she just needs time to get to know them; however, she is scared of young children.Like many of us, Leslie suffers from allergies. Luckily for her, we know what helps her stay happy and comfortable, a mix of a prescription diet and meds and she is her goofy self. Leslie has not had an easy life, and because of this, she will initially make you work hard for her love and affection. Once you earn it you will realize it was worth it.
