Charlie Clifford

Before WLWT, Clifford worked six years as Weekend Sports Anchor/ Reporter at WISH-TV in Indianapolis, highlighted by a regional Emmy Award for Sportscast, eight regional Emmy nominations, and the honor for top Sports Report by the Indiana Associated Press Broadcasters Association. In addition to his TV duties, Clifford was a regular guest radio host for 107.5 FM The Fan and a fill-in play-by-play broadcaster for the Indianapolis Indians, Ball State University, Xavier University, and the IHSAA.

Clifford and his wife Colleen, a Cincinnati native, met while attending Miami University and graduated together at Oxford. At Miami, Clifford served as a sports columnist for The Miami Student and as the voice of RedHawks basketball, baseball, and football for RedHawk Radio. Clifford was born and raised in Mt. Prospect, IL, and his broadcast career started with positions at WGN Radio in Chicago and WKBT-TV in La Crosse, Wis.
