Danielle Dindak

Danielle Dindak joined WLWT News 5 from WCHS in Charleston, West Virginia, where she covered state legislative sessions, the raging Opioid Drug Crisis, and countless breaking news stories.

Danielle is a proud Penn State University alumna born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

Before landing her first reporting job, Danielle interned with the Pittsburgh Steelers. She was the first American intern for Ceská Televize (Czech Television) in the Czech Republic. Danielle also was a newsroom intern at KDKA, the CBS affiliate in Pittsburgh. While in college, she won a collegiate Emmy for a story about the aftermath of Hurricane Maria and its effects on Puerto Rico's agriculture.

When she's not out chasing a story, Danielle loves trying new restaurants, traveling, all things "yinzer," and cheering her heart out for her favorite Pittsburgh and Penn State sports teams.
