Ashley Kirklen

Ashley Kirklen is an anchor and reporter with WLWT News Five. You can watch her weekdays at 4 p.m., 5:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. on channel 5.

Ashley has covered presidential elections, interviewing candidates and vice presidents. She’s also been a part of coverage of major events like Super Bowl LVI, the protests following the murder of George Floyd and the Fifth Third Bank shooting in downtown Cincinnati.

Ashley came to Cincinnati in 2018 from Macon, GA where she was a morning anchor. Before Georgia, Ashley worked in beautiful Marquette, MI. Before getting into local news, Ashley was a teacher. She taught English as a second language to students in South Korea, and she taught through AmeriCorps in Charlotte, NC. Ashley is originally from Indiana. She was born in Gary, IN and raised in Indianapolis. She's a graduate of Indiana University.

In her spare time, Ashley has a heart for her community and helping organizations supporting children’s initiative, cancer research and is active in her church community.
