For the first time in club history, FC Cincinnati have defeated the Columbus Crew in the state capital, taking their in-state rivals down by a 2-1 score Saturday night.Newcomer Kevin Kelsy notched his first MLS goal to open the scoring, in the 74th minute, on a beautiful touchline assist from reigning MVP Luciano Acosta.Two minutes later, Acosta scored himself, giving the Orange and Blue a 2-0 lead. After the match, head coach Pat Noonan said while pleased with the result, it wasn't a shock that his club went toe-to-toe with the defending MLS Cup champions."We've won enough previously that there's there's more of an expectation maybe than most. To play tough teams in tough environments and still perform and get a result," Noonan said. "And it doesn't always come in a fashion like tonight where I thought, you know, with the ball we were better certainly than the Orlando game. Defensively, I thought we were we were stronger, more disciplined in a lot of ways. But they're not afraid to play.
