Click on the navigation -- that's the three lines -- on the top left of the screen.

Click on "Customize Alerts" on the top of the navigation.

Next, click on "Severe Weather."

From here, you can customize which weather alerts you would like to receive.

Click on "Storm Approaching" or "Lightning Nearby" to opt into those alerts.

You can also pick "My Location" which will send you weather alerts for where you and your phone are.
