Erin Skeele

Erin Skeele is the Deputy Bureau Chief of Hearst Television's Washington News Bureau. She joined the bureau in 1998 as an associate producer and has been promoted to various roles throughout her tenure.

Erin has been a witness to many historic events in Washington from elections to inaugurations to presidential impeachments. Numerous breaking news stories have included September 11th and the January 6th attack on the Capitol. Erin has been lucky to venture outside DC to cover stories from Will and Kate's Royal wedding in London to the conclave for Pope Benedict in Rome. And she's had the opportunity to experience triumph and heartbreak while covering eight Olympics starting with the 2004 Games in Athens to the 2018 Olympics in PyeongChang. It was the most tiring and amazing assignment all rolled into one. And it made her realize she has no chance of ever being that good at sports!

In her spare time, Erin and her husband are constantly chasing after their toddler and still getting very little sleep.
