Brooke spent her childhood in many different parts of the country, including three years in Toronto, Canada. Growing up, Brooke often vacationed in Hilton Head with her family. She loves the Lowcountry!

Brooke attended the College of Charleston where she graduated with a degree in Communications and a minor in Spanish. While Brooke was in Charleston, her older sister was attending SCAD, so Brooke spent many weekends visiting her in the Hostess City. During college, Brooke had internships at news stations in both Charleston and Savannah.

Prior to joining the WJCL team, Brooke worked at the ABC affiliate in Salisbury, Maryland as a Reporter and Evening Anchor. There, Brooke covered a variety of stories from investigative pieces to human interest pieces. On top of winning a regional Emmy award for her work in Salisbury, she was also recognized with 2 regional AP awards.
