It has been a busy week at campuses all over the country, and right here in Georgia.Watch the above video to see the scene Monday at Emory University here in Georgia.Protestors engaging police after days of camping and arguing on the campus.This nationwide outbreak of protests was the hot topic in our editorial meeting this week.Ugly and uncomfortable.But when you look back in history, this is what democracy looks like.Washington DC, on January 6th. Nationwide after George Floyd. Back during Vietnam. And on the Pettus Bridge in Selma, AlabamaProtests are a long and loud tradition, especially for college age students.And the subject of Israel and Palestinians is incredibly hard to resolve.This conversation was one of our longest we've had in our editorial team.But we agreed on one observation. Calling in police can't be the answer for everything.Sometimes, its like using a hammer for a job that needs a screwdriver.Police can be helpful in some instances when things get out of hand. But whenever you present more force, you usually expect more resistance.Here's the bottom line.Uncomfortable rights are what make America beautiful.I'm Ben Hart. Thank you for sharing this time.
