The development is next to Highway 69 in Bulloch County.

Residents packed into Tuesday night's regular Bulloch County Board of Commissioners meeting for their decision to approve four rezoning requests that paves the way for an 81-home development.County commissioners voted on four separate requests from FNT Investments, LLC, a Real Estate Agent Contractor in Statesboro, GA, to rezone 104.68 acres of land, according to the meeting agenda.Commissioners voted 5-1 in favor of the first of the four requests, then voted unanimously in favor of the subsequent agenda items.After approval, the zones, shown above, will transition from AG-5 (Agricultural 5 acres) to residential lots. Three lots are rezoned to R-25 (Residential 25,000 sq. ft) and one lot is R-40 (Residential 40,000 sq. ft).This will take place in the area of Rimes Lane and Horace Mitchell Road, next to Highway 67 in Bulloch County. According to the county staff study, the development creates a neutral-negative impact on the areas of public services, like schools, first responders and water. However, after residents voiced concerns about water in the county, this site will require a privately owned septic tank for water usage.
