Memorial Day may be a sacred holiday to honor our fallen veterans, but somehow it's also become a major weekend for tech and appliance sales because it unofficially kicks off the summer season. We've already rounded up our favorite Memorial Day Camping Gear and below are a bunch of PC, TV, audio, mobile, and home tech sales that caught our eye. And hey, if you're looking for a true bargain, you can still nab a full year of WIRED Magazine and Web access for $5. Did I mention you'll get a YubiKey for free? We're biased, but it seems like an incredibly good deal to us.
Updated Sunday, May 27 and Monday, May 28: We updated pricing and added a few new deals that have sprung up!
Mobile and Wearable Sales
This weekend, you won't find many smartphones and gadgets on markdown, but we did find a couple sales you might want to consider.
Gaming and Movie Sales
We found a few deals, including a Nintendo Switch, which is only $10 off, but any sale on a Switch is notable right now. If you have some swashbuckling friends, you may also want to check out the Xbox One S bundle. Sea of Thieves is not a perfect game, but it is still a lot of fun to play with 2-3 friends.
Audio Sales
Several of our favorite smart speakers and Bluetooth speakers are on sale during Memorial Day weekend. The Boom 2 has been our favorite Bluetooth speaker for a couple years now, and the Wonderboom was a top pick of 2017. The Sonos One is the Best Smart Speaker. Our top TV continues to be LG's OLED series, which picked up a Gear of the Year award in 2017 and is still plenty good. The B7A is a slight downgrade from the C7, but the picture quality is still tops.
