Full Biography

Tammy Palacios is a Senior Analyst leading the Priority Sustainable Counterterrorism portfolio at the New Lines Institute and 2023-2024 Fellow with the Modern War Institute at West Point working on mapping civil society organizations and terrorist operations in West Africa to support effective prevention.

Previously, Palacios served as Lead for the MENA Research Team at TTCSP, where she managed teams collecting data on think tanks & civil society organizations. Tammy also spent time at the Institute for the Study of War focusing on Salafi-Jihadist militant groups in Syria.

Palacios earned a master’s in Security & Terrorism Studies and graduate certificate in Terrorism Analysis from the National Consortium for the Study of Terrorism and Responses to Terrorism (START) at the University of Maryland.
