Full Biography

Melissa is a Program Assistant in the Office of Congressional Relations where she supports the Wilson Center's Capitol Hill strategy and manages logistics for congressional briefings, staff delegations, and educational foreign policy programs. Before joining the Wilson Center, Melissa was a legislative and policy intern with the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, where she supported the Europe & Public Diplomacy portfolio and the State Department Management & DEIA portfolio. She also worked as a research assistant at the Research on International Policy Implementation Lab, where she collected and coded data relevant to United Nations peacekeeping and peacebuilding operations.

Melissa holds a Master of Arts in Global Governance, Politics, and Security with a concentration in global security from American University School of International Service, where she was also a working group member for a State Department practicum on US national security interests in Central Asia. She earned her B.A. with specialized honors in International Relations and French from Drew University.
