Vaccines against tick-borne encephalitis: WHO position paper - 2011

Weekly Epidemiological Record, 2011, vol. 86, 24 [‎full issue]

Overview

This is the first WHO position paper on vaccines against tick-borne encephalitis. Recommendations on the use of these vaccines were discussed by SAGE at its meeting in April 2011.

Evidence presented at the meeting can be accessed at http://www. who.int/immunization/sage/previous/en/ index.html. In this paper, footnotes provide a limited number of core references including references to grading tables that assess the quality of scientific evidence for a few key conclusions; a more comprehensive list of references is offered in the Background document on vaccines and vaccination against tick-borne encephalitis.
