Olympic champion David Rudisha to lead master running class at Walk the Talk Geneva

24 May 2024

Olympic champion David Rudisha has announced his participation in the 5th WHO Walk the Talk: Health for All Challenge event in Geneva on Sunday 26 May 2024.

“I am so happy to announce that I will be taking part in the Walk the Talk: Health for All Challenge, organized by the World Health Organization, on Sunday morning 26 May in Geneva. This public event will be fun, free and friendly, open to people of all ages, and a great way to celebrate the power of physical activity for healthy lifestyles,” said Rudisha, two-time Olympic gold medallist at 800 metres and the world-record holder at that distance.

And Rudisha is planning a special treat on the day for those who fancy their running abilities: “I would like to invite any runners to join me in a “master class”, starting from Place des Nations.”

His run will begin at 9:45 a.m. Join him at the starting line!

“As a proud Kenyan and Olympic champion, I am so happy to be taking part in the Walk the Talk to help celebrate the Paris Olympics and my late, great brother and friend, Kelvin Kiptum. I can’t wait to see you in Geneva.”

Rudisha is among a range of sporting stars taking part in this year’s annual Walk the Talk health promotion event.
