NEWS EIGHT. IT IS A BIG EVENT. ALL RIGHT, ED, THANK YOU. THE LANCASTER STORMERS ARE HOSTING A FREE INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION. THIS EVENT STARTS TOMORROW AT 530, AND THERE WILL BE MUSIC. OF COURSE, THERE WILL BE A HOT DOG EATING CONTEST. WHY NOT? AND IT ENDS WITH FIREWORKS AT 930. HAVE AN EVENT THAT IS FREE FOR THE COMMUNITY. A LOT OF GREAT OPPORTUNITIES FOR FAMILIES OF FROM AROUND ALL THE COUNTY TO COME OUT AND ENJOY IT. SO IT’S JUST PART OF, UH, YOU KNOW, US GIVING BACK TO THE COMMUNITY WITH THAT SUPPORT US THE YEAR ROUND AND WHERE HE’S STANDING. THE OUTFIELD WILL BE OPEN FOR FANS TO PLAY CATCH FRISBEE OR ANY OTHER

The Lancaster Stormers are hosting a free Independence Day celebration.Gates open at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday at Clipper Magazine Stadium.The event includes:Live musicHot dog eating contestPie eating contestFace paintingInflatables for kidsField games in the outfieldFootball tossThe festivities will end with fireworks at 9:30 p.m."Having an event that is free for the community, a lot of great opportunities for families from around the county to come out and enjoy it, it's just part of us giving back to the community that supports us year-round," Stormers General Manager Michael Reynolds said.Attendees will also be able to catch a preview of the Red Rose Rumble. This live wrestling event will take place at the stadium on Aug. 3.

Gates open at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday at Clipper Magazine Stadium.

  • Live music
  • Hot dog eating contest
  • Pie eating contest
  • Face painting
  • Inflatables for kids
  • Field games in the outfield
  • Football toss

The festivities will end with fireworks at 9:30 p.m.
